High Coast - Tips
1.
High Coast Art Valley
Nature and culture in harmony. And completely FREE. Start your visit at Herrgårdsparken in Köpmanholmen. There you can stroll through the park, discover art, with the sea by your side in a combined lush forest and park environment. See the exhibition about industry in Köpmanholmen and have a coffee at Sveas with homemade cakes. From there you can go on an adventure to see the remaining works of art placed in nature, such as "Vågrörelser" by Mats Olofgörs on the island of Trysunda. The boats leave from Köpmanholmen.
2.
Trysunda
It is not for nothing that the island is called the pearl of the Bothnian Sea. Come here and feel the peace of the old fishing village. Sunbathe on the lovely sandy beach in Björnviken and have a late dinner at the hostel. Definitely worth a visit. The neighboring island Ulvön is also a popular hangout with world-class food at the hotel. In the summer, there is a bit more activity here for those who wish it. Ship ouch!

4.
School Forest
The national park with hiking trails through ancient forests and then reached by miles of views from high mountains over a dramatic coastal landscape. This environment is unparalleled in Swedish nature. Camp in Kälsviken or on Tärnättholmarna a bit into the national park. Hike through Slåttdalsskrevan, eat a bite to eat at the top of the mountain or at Naturum at the foot of the mountain. If you are really brave, rent climbing equipment and climb the mountain under your own power. Enjoy the excitement!
5.
Factory sales
In the High Coast we have plenty of factory stores. Naturkompaniet, which is located just south of Örnsköldsvik, sells Fjällräven and other outdoor brands at discounted prices. In Docksta you will find Jeltsje's chocolate factory with the most delicious pralines. And here we at Docksta Sko also have our factory store. Here you will find sample collections, discontinued ranges and several limited editions of different variants of our famous slippers that we produce every summer and which have become collectors' items for many. Here you will also find clothes, books, backpacks and other little things. During the summer we are open Monday - Friday 10-18 and Saturday-Sunday 10-16. Welcome to wonderful shopping!
